Kirsten Vangsness, best known for her portrayal of Penelope Garcia’s character in the crime drama “Criminal Minds,” credits her co-star and worldwide sex icon, Shemar Moore, for helping her realize her “queerness.”

Kristen came out as bisexual and was dating a girl when she met her future husband, Keith Hanson. Keith Hanson, an actor, and writer proposed to her for the second time in November 2015.
Kirsten and her future husband have been engaged for more than six years, but they have yet officially declared their engagement.
However, in an interview with PEOPLE following the announcement, she described her future husband as “wonderful,” saying:
“He’s the ideal companion for me, and I believe we’re evolving… “
Even though she is now engaged to her future husband, her four-year engagement with her then-fiancee is still a popular story. Kirsten Vangsness was on the verge of marrying her girlfriend.

However, the Chicago 8 actress didn’t stay single for long and married her now-husband, who was always there for her.

Her weight loss did not affect her profession because she was an excellent actress from the start.

Kirsten made her acting debut in 1998 with the short comedy film Sometimes Santa’s Gotta Get Whacked. After then, she didn’t appear on screen again until 2004, when she made her television debut. Later, she appeared as Veronica in the sitcom Phil of the Future.
Her breakthrough came in 2005 when she was hired as Penelope Grace Garcia in the crime thriller TV show Criminal Minds. She began as a guest star but subsequently joined the main cast of the series.
