Larry Millete is suspected of murdering his wife, Maya Millete, who vanished over two years ago. Maya Millete, a 39-year-old mother of three who works as a civilian for the US Navy, was last seen on January 7, 2021, in Chula Vista, California.
In October of the same year, the police detained her husband, Larry. Numerous theories about his wife’s possible whereabouts were offered by Larry to both the public and the police.
But as the inquiry went on, he became the top suspect. But was he found guilty? Where is May Millete’s husband right now?

Her corpse hasn’t been found yet. As previously said, Larry was captured in October 2021. His prosecution was put on hold in 2022 as a result of his mental health.
The missing woman’s husband entered a not-guilty plea to murder and assault weapon possession. Both parole and phone contact with his kids were rejected.
After a two-week preliminary hearing for Larry Millete, which ended on January 25, 2023, the court determined that there was enough evidence to move on with the trial.
The murder trial for Larry Millete will start on September 14, 2023, according to The Sun. Regarding the suspect’s whereabouts, he is currently incarcerated.
Specifics of the Maya Millete Disappearance Case
On January 7, 2021, Maya Millete was last seen at her Chula Vista, California home.
She had been missing for 21 years, and Larry Millete, her husband, gave conflicting versions of where she could have gone.
Maricris Drouaillet, Maya’s sister, reported her missing on January 9. Family members and friends created leaflets and spread the word about her absence. Maya’s family has been hoping for her safe return ever since.
On January 11, 2021, Billy Little, a former criminal defense investigator, and lawyer, went to the Millete home to look for leads. According to the lawyer, Larry didn’t seem concerned about Maya’s absence.
But in interviews, Larry seemed upbeat and asked for his wife to come home.
A Complete Search
Two weeks after the lady vanished, the Chula Vista Police Department sought a search warrant for the Millete home.
The police looked for information that would point them in the direction of Maya. Weapons were taken from the house. More than two years have passed. Maya, however, is not visible.
On February 5, 2021, a news conference was held by the CVPD and Maya’s family to ask for help finding her. Additionally, they released biweekly updates on their search and research activities.
The wide dry lands east of Chula Vista, near the Arizona border, and Mount San Miguel Park, where Maya liked mountaineering, were two of the many places the CVPD searched.
They used unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, and dogs to help in the investigation.
In addition, Maya was actively sought out by family, friends, coworkers, and volunteers in multiple locales.
There have been several searches, but Maya Millete and her corpse have not been found. She is allegedly dead, according to the police and her relatives.
The woman’s situation is still a mystery.
