Two nominations for Pachinko, Lee Min-show, and ho’s have been announced for the 2022 Gotham Independent Film Awards.

On October 25, the 32nd Gotham Awards were announced, and Kim Min-ha, the show’s lead actress, garnered nominations for both “Outstanding Performance in a New Series” and “Breakthrough Series – Long Form (over 40 minutes)” for Pachinko.
Pachinko player Kim Min-ha is vying for first place in the category of “Outstanding Performance in a New Series” against both male and female performers.
Instead of the prior distinction based on male and female performers, the “Outstanding Performance in a New Series” award has been combined into one by the Gotham Independent Film Awards. Kim Min-ha, the star of Pachinko, is nominated with outstanding male and female competitors in the same category as a consequence.

The drama will go up against some of the most well-known shows of the year, including Severance, Station Eleven, This Is Going to Hurt, and Yellowjackets, for the “Breakthrough Series – Over 40 Minutes” award.
Social media is flooded with Pachinko fans congratulating the cast on their well-deserved nomination. On November 28, at 7 p.m., the 32nd Gotham Independent Film Awards will take place in New York City, and fans are hopeful that Lee Min-ho, Kim Min-ha, and the series’ creators would attend in person. The television show was created by Soo Hugh, and Kogonada and Justin Chon handled the directing.
The Independent Filmer Project (IFP), the largest independent film advocacy organization in America, presents the Gotham Awards. The massively popular Squid Game Netflix series won the 31st Gotham Awards for “Breakthrough Series – Over 40 Minutes” in 2021, making it the first Korean drama to do so.
Actor Lee Jung-Jae, PD Hwang Dong-hyuk, and Squid Game’s Jung Ho-Yeon all showed up to the event. For “Outstanding Performance in a New Series,” Lee Jung-Jae was nominated, however, he did not win.
Pachinko was picked up for a second season early this year, and it will air sometime in 2023. Sunja’s husband Baek Solomon was taken into custody by the police at the end of the first season’s final episode because of his affiliation with the neighborhood church.
Noa, his biological kid, is waiting for his father, Baek Solomon, to pick him up from school when Koh Han-us, a fish dealer with connections to organized crime, comes upon Noa. He tells his son to always hold his head up and never to cower in any situation.
