Lizzy Savetsky A Jewish Influencer Left RHONY Over “Antisemitic Insults”

Lizzy Savetsky

Lizzy Savetsky, a Jewish activist and influencer, has left the reboot of RHONY (Real Housewives of New York City) due to “a flood of antisemitic abuse.”

She was the program’s newest cast member, but she left the Bravo reality show while it was in production. Lizzy announced her decision in an Instagram post on November 16, 2022, stating that she would not be returning for Season 14 of RHONY.

Her decision comes less than a month after Bravo announced Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield would be joining her on the show. The number of RHONY housewives has been reduced to six. A Bravo representative confirmed the story to Variety as well. The following is stated in the statement:

“We have mutually decided that Lizzy will not be a cast member on RHONY after careful deliberation and conversation with Lizzy.”

Lizzy Savetsky, a former RHONY star, describes herself as a “proud Jew.”

Lizzy Savetsky describes herself as a “proud Jew & Zionist” and a “matchmaker” on her Instagram page. She is the wife of Dr. Ira Savetsky, a cosmetic surgeon, and the mother of three children: Stella, 9, Juliet, 8, and Ollie, 2. Her hometown is Fort Worth, Texas.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Lizzy has a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her school years, she was a student, country music performer, and cheerleader. She’s even competed in the Miss Teen Texas pageant. She told aish.com:

“I was a chronic perfectionist who was never satisfied and was always seeking more.” I desired everything. I wanted to dress appropriately and attend the appropriate events. I wanted to be everything to everyone. “Everywhere I went, I was killing it.”

Lizzy works with a number of non-profits to help the Jewish community. Lizzysavetsky.com, her official website, states:

“Lizzy is an outspoken supporter of Israel and the Jewish people, and she volunteers with a number of non-profit and charitable organizations to assist her people and country.” As a result, she was asked to be an Honorary Grand Marshal in the Celebrate Israel Parade.”

Lizzy even launched the Real Love, Real Loss social media campaign to de-stigmatize pregnancy loss among Jewish women worldwide. Her website states that

“Lizzy created her own social media campaign to raise $57,000 for a Torah for the Israeli army in honor of the souls who died in the womb.”

She even started her own IGTV show, BASHERT, to help Jewish singles find love. Lizzy also uses her platform to demonstrate her sense of style and to educate people about her deeply held values. In early October, Lizzy released a video in which she slammed rapper Kanye West’s racist remarks. She stated, ”

“I continue to receive incredibly unpleasant, even dangerous remarks in support of his antisemitic agenda.” Because my children’s great-grandmother did not escape Auschwitz, we could not stand by and watch as individuals threatened our very survival as a nation. We must be heard! These threats are taken seriously by me, and you should as well.”

The new RHONY season 14 cast was announced at BravoCon 2022 last month. Filming was set to begin in the fall, with new episodes premiering in 2023. Lizzy has only shot a few times, but she stopped after receiving numerous anti-Semitic remarks. She will no longer be a RHONY cast member.
