The ex-wife of Lloyd Barrus currently resides in the Northwest. She shared her tale during an appearance on N.B.C. Dateline: On a Dark, Deserted Highway.
Barrus and Debra Del were married before he killed the government officer. Domestic abuse was suffered by Ms.
Debra Del claimed that her ex-husband nearly killed him, but she managed to flee in the middle of the night with her five children to Alaska and Arizona. The family later relocated to Shelton, Washington.
After that, he seldom ever spoke to his father or brothers.
Al Barrus, the son of the Bosque-Barrus pair, claimed in a recent interview with KOB4 that they—his mother, himself, and four sisters—left their father in 1989. Al, now 39 years old, was just six years old at the time.
However, he described that incident as though it had just occurred. Al Barrus, who was not involved in his father’s crime, said that Marshall Barrus was not a bad person.
The 39-year-old claims that their father’s fury caused his brother to fire the shots that killed Mason Moore in Montana.
The Barrus family thinks Lloyd put pressure on Marshall to kill the deputy by shooting him.
Al Barrus, Lloyd Barrus’s son, is happily married and has two children.
Al Barrus is now content. The 39-year-old is also blessed with two children and a happy marriage to his partner.
In the public sector, he also works in wildlife protection. I adore it, he declared. This is my permanent residence. Al explained that what drew him here were the desert sunsets.
Al has struggled with those truths while having nothing to do with his dad’s crime. He now wants to help individuals who have gone through similar horrible events.
“We want to share with those who might be dealing with something similar our story of bravery, survival, and hope,” said Al Barrus.
Where Are Marshall and Lloyd Barrus?
Serving time at the Montana State Prison is Lloyd Barrus. He is currently serving three concurrent life sentences for his role in Mason Moore’s killing.
On September 21, 2021, Barrus was determined to be accountable for both attempted and deliberate homicide.
His conviction led to the declaration of his prison term on April 22, 2022.
Marshall Barrus was killed in the firefight after starting a gunfight with the police when they approached the two.
Mason Moore, however, the father-son victim, was shot multiple times and passed away on May 17, 2017.
It wasn’t the first time Lloyd had run afoul of the law. He was captured by California Police in 2000 along with his other son, Jeffrey, after a high-speed pursuit and an 18-hour standoff with authorities.
