Aimed at the singer’s sizable fans, Netflix created Luis Miguel: The Series in 2018, a biographical television series based on his turbulent life and ascent to prominence.
The biographical series in Spanish showed how the death of his father, Luisito Rey, and the disappearance of his mother, Marcela Basteri, brought his family problems from his youth and adolescence to a head.
Audiences also got a peek into the singer’s relationship with his two younger siblings, Alejandro and Sergio, who, after the turmoil in their family, went from being very close as kids to scarcely speaking to one another.
The show’s recently released second season featured a chronology from the 1990s in which Luis (played by Diego Boneta) battled to balance taking care of his two siblings and his job after his father passed away. But how are things between the Miguel brothers right now? What happened between them exactly? Here, you may find all the information you require.
Are the Miguel Brothers currently getting along?
The well-known musician and his brother Sergio do not now speak to one another. Distractify claims that the two brothers’ conversation came to an end when Luis mentioned wanting to buy his brother Sergio a house in Spain. On the other hand, Sergio wanted to complete his schooling in America, enroll in Boston College, and go to Harvard Law School.
The singer, on the other hand, was against the decision and wanted his brother to go to college in England. After telling his brother that he wished to stay in the United States, Sergio is said to have had a severe falling out with him. Octavio Foncerrada, the family’s physician, explained the relationship between Luis and Sergio to Metro Word News, saying,
“It was a time when they had trouble understanding one another. Wait a minute, Sergio cautioned him, and then there was a split, Luis Miguel stopped providing him with financial support, and they also destroyed any traces of their friendship and correspondence.
However, after that rift, the two brothers’ friendship was never reconciled, and they haven’t spoken to one another since. The same is true for Sergio, who stays silent, and Alejandro.
Having said that, Luis and Alejandro share a strong sense of brotherhood and are quite open with one another. NewsBeezer reported in 2018 that the pair were seen celebrating Alejandro’s birthday in a Miami bowling alley. Similar to this, Alejandro celebrated his older brother’s birthday by posting an Instagram photo of Luis performing on stage in April 2018.
What Are Sergio and Alejandro Doing These Days?
While Luis enjoys a luxurious lifestyle in the spotlight, his brothers struggle to make ends meet while also carrying the burden of being related to the well-known artist.
For instance, when Luis cut him off financially, Sergio was obliged to move back to Guadalajara and live with Foncerrada. Due to financial limitations, he was also forced to give up his plans to attend Boston University, which inspired him to pursue photography.
He was unable to finish it though for the same reason as before. On the other side, Sergio is stated to be succeeding as a photographer nowadays and gives his all to his work to provide the best results.
Alejandro, on the other hand, is rumored to live in Mexico and be employed in the business. He has amassed millions of dollars thanks to his employment, which enables him to handle a range of businesses, from gas stations to construction companies.
