Maya Varsano, Gal Gadot and Yaron Varsano’s second child, was born on March 19, 2017 in Los Angeles. The Wonder Woman star announced the birth of their newborn girl on Instagram.

Gadot posted a black-and-white photo of herself, her husband, and their daughter, Alma. “Then we were four… “She’s here, Maya,” Gadot wrote with the photo.

While it had been speculated for months that Gadot was expecting her second child, she remained mum until she finished filming Wonder Woman in 2017. In November 2016, she officially announced her second pregnancy on Instagram.

It’s no news that Gal Gadot was pregnant with her second child when she filmed Wonder Woman. However, she kept the information from the production team and her co-stars at the time. Gadot told Marie Claire on its June 2017 cover story that she kept the secret because she didn’t want to be treated differently on work.
She also talked about vomiting in corners and dealing with hormone-induced migraines. Gadot went on to say:
“I gutted it out and began to arrive on set wearing sunglasses.” I had a jug of water with enormous chunks of ginger in it. One of the producers persisted in his inquiry. ‘What are you doing drinking potato water?’ They assumed I’d moved to Hollywood.”
Meanwhile, when Gadot returned to finish the reshoots, her baby bump was clearly visible, and CGI had to be used to make it disappear.
Gadot told Rolling Stone that she and the directors worked hard to conceal her pregnancy. She stated,
“We cut the costume open and put this green screen on my stomach.” It was hilarious–Wonder Woman with a bump.”
