Twitterati claims that one of the reasons for the conflict between the two is that ASAP Rocky cheated on Rihanna with Megan Thee Stallion. An anonymous tip about Rocky’s infidelity with Megan Thee Stallion was delivered to Pop Faction, a journalism and media organization.
HollywoodLife reported on March 21 that Rocky and RiRi’s relationship has advanced despite the unconfirmed infidelity charges. A source close to RiRi claims that the couple might be engaged soon.
Crawford, Carl, and the record label drama with Megan Thee Stallion
The reason Rihanna unfollowed Megan has not been confirmed, but Carl Crawford’s comments have revealed additional details. Crawford is the owner of Megan’s label, 1501 Certified Ent., and the two have been engaged in litigation since 2020. In February, Megan’s legal team filed a petition asking for her 2021 CD Something for Thee Hotties to be recognized as an album under their recording agreement.
In court documents, the rapper’s legal team claimed that Something for Thee Hotties was not an “album” as defined under 1501.
The label, on the other hand, was allegedly trying to “squeeze more money and unpaid labor out of her for as long as possible,” according to Megan’s legal counsel.
According to TMZ, 1501 filed a countersuit on March 21 and claimed that Something for Thee Hotties was not an album because it didn’t meet a few requirements.
For Megan to be considered an album, it must have at least 12 “new and unpublished master recordings of studio performances.” According to 1501, the new album includes a lot of outdated, previously released material and only 29 minutes of brand-new material.
