Melanie C Husband and Children: Did She Marry Joe Marshall?

Melanie C’s Family Information

Melanie Jayne Chisholm was born on January 12, 1974, in Whiston, Lancashire, to Joan O’Neill, a secretary and personal assistant who has been singing in bands since she was 14 years old, and Alan Chisholm, a fitter at the Otis Elevator Company.

Chisholm’s parents married in 1971 and divorced when she was four. Chisholm’s mother remarried when she was six years old and had additional children, one of them is racing driver Paul O’Neill. She grew up in Widnes, Cheshire, and attended Fairfield High School and Brookvale Junior School in the Runcorn area.

She enrolled at the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London after graduating from high school to pursue a singing, dance, and musical theater diploma. While in college, she answered to a Chris and Bob Herbert ad in The Stage, seeking to become the Spice Girls, a new female group. She dropped out of college before completing her three-year curriculum. She eventually received Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing qualifications in tap and contemporary theatrical dance.

Melanie C’s net worth is unknown.

According to The Sun, Mel C is worth an estimated £27 million, and not all of that money stems from her time as a member of the Spice Girls, alongside Mel B, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, and Geri Horner. She has sold the most solo albums of any Spice Girl, with 12 million sold globally. She also had a great stage career, playing in Blood Brothers on London’s West End.

She also recorded “Independence Day,” which was used on the soundtrack for the film Bend It Like Beckham, and “Help Me Help You,” which Holly Valance recreated on her album Footprints.
