He started his racing career in karting and was successful in various junior single-seater competitions. Similar to the last example, this driver was signed by Benetton for the rest of the 1991 season following a one-off outing with Jordan at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1991. This racer won both his first and second driver’s championships in 1994 and 1995.

In the same way, he joined the ailing Ferrari team in 1996. In his first seasons with the team, he failed to win the championship in the season-ending race in 1997 and 1998, then in 1999, a brake failure resulted in him breaking his leg.

Additionally, he gave up playing after coming in third in 2005 and second in 2006. Despite this, from 2010 to 2012 he briefly returned with Mercedes.
