Molly Burnett is an American actress, singer, and producer best known for her roles as Kelly Ann in Queen of the South and Melanie Jonas on Days of Our Lives. Burnett received two Daytime Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Jonas. In addition, she was nominated for a third Daytime Emmy Award for Relationship Status.
Burnett quit her day job in 2012 to pursue a career in primetime, appearing on shows like CSI: NY and Major Crimes. Her first film role was as Ashley Bloom in the MTV Original Film Ladies Man: A Made Movie. In 2015, Burnett appeared on CSI: Cyber as Nina Moore. In 2014, she returned to Days of Our Lives for a six-month stint.
On the daytime drama General Hospital, Burnett played Maxie Jonas. Burnett will next be seen in the upcoming season of Law & Order: SVU as Junior Detective Grace Muncy, who will work with the SVU team to solve the crimes assigned to the special squad. While details about her character are being withheld, TV Line describes Burnett’s Grace Muncy as “clever, forthright, and gorgeous,” as well as having dealt with gangs. Simultaneously, Benson and Stabler (Law & Order: SVU) believe it isn’t a typical murder.
