As Oscars host, Jimmy Kimmel once again smashed it out of the park. The host of a late-night talk show presided over the annual Academy Awards for the third time and entertained the audience with his charming humor and gentle jabs at Hollywood’s A-listers.
Obviously, he received assistance from his fantastic writing team, which includes his wife, Molly McNearny.
Jimmy honored Molly on her birthday just days before the Academy Awards by posting a humorous Instagram photo of her carrying a cup of water with four glasses dangling from her shirt collar.

Jimmy and Molly have a unique relationship that allows them to work together professionally while being married. Molly is the co-head writer and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, thus the two clearly share the same carpool to work.
As previously stated, Molly was also a member of the Oscar team responsible for Jimmy’s hilarious speech as the show’s executive producer. Also, she has worked on the Emmy award show.
Their first meeting was not that cute
During an interview with Glamour, Molly recounted that when she initially met Jimmy on his show, he ridiculed her. “The executive producer escorted me to his office and introduced me to Molly as his new assistant.
Jimmy didn’t glance up from his desk until my EP stated,
“She competes in triathlons,” at which point he looked up at me and said, “That is so dumb!” What a complete waste of time!'”
Even after that introduction, Molly remained at the company for six years before they went on a date!
Molly fell in love with Jimmy due to his culinary skills
Although Jimmy and Molly were dating other individuals when they first met, they soon spent considerable time as coworkers. Cupid didn’t strike until they ended up together after a long day of filming and Jimmy made her lunch.
“After the concert, all the authors would mingle, and we would simply hang out more and more. As friends, we greatly enjoyed each other’s company, but then things turned sour. He prepared food for me, and that was all. It was the clincher,” Molly told Glamour.
Obviously, a working romance includes hurdles. She told the publication,
“I was extremely scared because I love our writers so much and we work so closely together, and I was the only female writer in the room at the time, and I didn’t want to upset the dynamic.” “Part of having a sense of camaraderie with your coworkers is making light of the boss, so I didn’t want that to cease just because I’m dating him.”
A star-studded wedding
The pair were engaged during a safari in South Africa and planned to have their wedding in Ojai, California, on July 13, 2013. Jimmy conducts interviews with the glitterati for a living, so the guest list read like a who’s who of Hollywood.
Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Emily Blunt were among the A-listers cheering on the newlyweds, who went on to Portofino, Italy for their honeymoon.
Molly and Jimmy have two children in common
The adorable couple welcomed their two children, Jane and Billy, into their home. Jane arrived in July 2014, followed by Billy in April 2017.
Jimmy has been extremely candid about Billy’s horrific health fight, as he was born with a congenital heart defect and required three heart operations.
The comedian also had two children from his first marriage, which lasted from 1988 until 2002, and was to Gina Maddy. Katie and Kevin were born in 1991 and 1993, respectively, to the previous couple.
