Nas EBK, a popular artist and YouTuber, was recently arrested and charged with inciting violence and making terroristic threats.
All of this happened at the Rochelle Park ShopRite, where Nasir Valenzuela (AKA Nas EBK) was filming a spoof video for his YouTube account. At one point in the footage, the artist can be heard threatening someone with a dagger. He claims:
“If you approach me again, I will rape you.”
U.S. Marshals apprehended the Bronx resident in Penns Grove on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. The now-deleted recording was posted to the website on January 9, 2023. Nas can be seen in the video approaching ShopRite customers and employees and yelling at them.

The video of the aspiring New York rapper went viral after he dressed up as a ShopRite employee and engaged in a vocal brawl. He later clarified that it was all part of the hoax movie. However, authorities in Rochelle Park claim that the Vlogger threatened someone with a dagger. The issue arose when the artist attempted to dupe a couple by claiming their luggage was his. As the man became defensive and attempted to confront Nas EBK, he began to say:
“We’re joking, buddy, it’s a joke… Stop playing with me, or I’ll beat you up.”
He then pulled out a dagger, heightening the tension. He stated, ”
“What? I’m going to start attacking you right now. How are things going for you? How are things going for you? “Do you think you’re strong, bro?”
The person filming the footage attempted to calm Nasir Valenzuela down, but it was futile, as the artist can be heard saying:
“I’m going to attack your brow right now, what, look, what are you trying to do? “Stop messing around with me.” “I’m going to slash your brow open.”
The film, which was released last month, has over 450,000 views. Nasir Valenzuela is now charged with illegal possession of a firearm, simple assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.
He is currently being held at the Bergen County Correctional Facility. Nas EBK is well-known on Instagram, where he currently has over 127,000 followers. According to Nas’ Instagram bio, the profile is managed by his staff. A photo of him was posted to the site shortly after his capture, with the caption:
“Ebk, too much chit-chat, I’ll be back soon RELEASE DA RI$KTAKER”
While it is unclear how the officials will proceed with the case at this time, many social media users are now rallying for Nas’ release, claiming that he is harmless and that his behavior was staged for the show. There has been no further progress in the case.
