Sade and Ne-Yo recently welcomed their second child. Sade shared the news on Instagram, along with several photos of the baby, including one of her cradling the newborn. According to the text:
“Hello, Brixton. Pooh, I adore you… “Welcome home, my beautiful child.”
Sade also shared photos of herself cradling the infant’s hand and the newborn sleeping on her chest on her Instagram Story. She even shared a close-up photo of the baby, as well as two recordings of the baby sleeping. Ne and Crystal Renay’s divorce was finalized last month.
They first met in 2015, when the artist was working on his debut album, Non-Fiction. Renay filed for divorce in August 2022, accusing him of having a child with another woman. According to People, they divorced in July 2022, and Renay told TMZ at the time that there was no chance of a reconciliation.
While the divorce was finalized in February 2023, Ne-Yo, alias Shaffer Chimere Smith, was ordered to pay $1.6 million in property assets equalization as well as an additional $20,000 in child support. Renay kept ownership of the Georgia-based property, and the Stay artist was required to pay Renay $150,000 for a new vehicle. Smith was ordered to pay $12,000 in child support and $5,000 in alimony to Renay for three years, and the couple was granted joint custody of their children.
Ne-Yo is the father of five children
Ne-Yo is well-known in the music industry for his prolific work. But he is also well-known for his personal life, in which he has had intimate relationships with several women over the years. He first dated Jesseca White, and while the latter had a child with him in 2005, it was later revealed that he was not the child’s father. Yo revealed in a 2010 interview that he was expecting a child with his then-girlfriend, Monyetta Shaw.
Ne and Monyetta welcomed a girl, Madilyn Grace Smith, in November 2010 and a boy, Mason Evan Smith, the following year. The couple divorced in 2012, and Ne announced the split in an Instagram photo that year, claiming it was a mutual decision. After getting engaged in 2015, Ne-Yo married Crystal Renay in 2016.
In the same year, they welcomed a son, Roman Alexander-Raj Smith, and a boy, Shaffer Chimere Jr. After having a girl, Isabella Rose Smith, the previous year, the couple was expecting another child in February 2021. The couple filed for divorce in February 2023.
In 2006, Ne-Yo released his second album
Shaffer Chimere Smith is another name for him, and his debut album, In My Own Words, debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 in 2006. He continued to release albums such as Because of You, Libra Scale, Non-Fiction, Decent Guy, and others. Battle: Los Angeles, Red Tails, Girls Trip, Wild ‘N Out, All My Children, Private Sessions, CSI: NY, 90210, and other films and television shows have featured Ne-Yo.
