Last year’s breakup between Nessa Barrett and Jaden Hossler sent the globe into a frenzy. In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Nessa Barrett, however, provided her side of the tale involving the entire separation debacle.
During the conversation, she emphasized how it was a complicated topic with different sides to every account. The American singer also revealed how the release of La Di Die strengthened their connection.
She declared:
“There was nothing devious about it. I felt as if I simply gave in to my feelings, which was not the best decision. Nonetheless, I have no regrets.”
Nessa Barrett recalls her breakup anguish,
“I would have done everything at the time to make it work.”
Throughout the podcast talk, Nessa Barrett stated her desire for the relationship to succeed. She also stated that her borderline personality disorder manifested itself as a result of spending so much time with her ex-boyfriend, Hossler. She declared:
“My thoughts were fixated on Jaden. I would then do everything possible to make it work.”
Nessa Barrett also addressed the instability inside the relationship, stating:
“That infuriated me because I believed it was doing something that would make me happy in the present. At the same time, the whole world was calling me a sl*t, a backstabbing b*tch, a buddy hopping, and a home wrecker. It was very irritating.”
On the podcast, she said that she had no regrets regarding her interactions with Jaden since some of them were rather great. She concluded her remarks by saying:
“It was a situation of us versus the world, which grew challenging when we were both experiencing personal difficulties.”
Nessa Barrett stated, in response to the infidelity allegations, that she does not believe Jaden physically cheated on her. She declared:
“I don’t blame him for anything since I wasn’t the best person in the relationship because I was in so much pain.”
Nessa Barrett described how she understood that people desire attention from others when they do not receive it from their current companion.
Relationship between Jaden Hossler and Nessa Barrett is complicated
In February 2021, when the couple’s single La Di Die was released, rumors about their romance arose. Following the song’s release, the couple was spotted throughout the city, sometimes having lunch and other times simply walking hand in hand.
A few months later, in June 2021, Jaden finally revealed their relationship during a radio broadcast. He commented at the time:
Then, her boyfriend, I am really happy and appreciative to be her boyfriend.
The trouble in the relationship started when Jaden’s ex, Mads Lewis, stated in a now-deleted TikTok video that Nessa Barrett snatched Jaden from him.
After being labeled a home wrecker, the duo chose to keep their relationship quiet. Yet, Jaden and Nessa were spotted dining out in Los Angeles shortly after the incident.
The couple was frequently caught engaging in sexual behavior in TikTok and Instagram videos, suggesting that everything was going well. The two also exhibited their matching tattoos, a “3” and an angel.
At the same time, in an interview with The Zach Sang Show in July 2021, Hossler stated:
“I’m overjoyed, guy. She motivates me to be a better individual. I don’t think you could ask for anything better.”
Eventually, after sharing birthday greetings and demonstrating support for one another on social media, the two moved in together in early 2022. During an interview, Nessa validated this fact.
Frequently, the two were spotted simultaneously generating TikToks. In April 2022, however, rumors about the couple’s breakup began to surface. In response to the rumors, the couple made their breakup public by announcing it online. They said in a joint statement:
“Last month we parted up to concentrate on our individual jobs and mental health,” they claimed. “Please do not send hatred or make assumptions. We’d prefer to heal discreetly, and we hope you can all appreciate that. We cherish every single one of you.”
Additionally, the couple stated that their divorce was amicable and that they were on excellent terms.
