Eddie Vedder, the vocalist, and guitarist for Pearl Jam, came under fire from Nikki Sixx for comments he made in a recent interview.

The argument started when Vedder described helping to move the band’s equipment into a San Diego club in the 1980s, at the height of glam metal, in a New York Times article that was published on January 30. He declared that he “despised” Mötley Crüe and even called the group “vacuous.”
I would get worked up at concerts by bands that dominated late-’80s MTV, places I wouldn’t have chosen to go. to be courteous, the metal bands that I didn’t care for. Fuck you, Mötley Crüe and “Girls, Girls, Girls.” I loathed it. It made the boys look bad, and I didn’t appreciate it. I detested how it made the women appear. It was very bare.
Nikki Sixx, the bassist, and composer for Mötley Crüe, took to Twitter on February 4 to discuss Vedder’s comment. He called Pearl Jam “one of the most boring bands in history” and asserted that they mistook Vedder’s comments for accolades in response to the Society singer’s scathing criticism.
In addition, Vedder made a playful allusion to Heather Locklear (ex-wife of Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee) when he remarked that Guns N’ Roses brought “some fangs” to the pre-grunge era during his interview with the journal. He remarked that Perry Farrell was the only person who wore a bustier in the 1990s who he could admire.

In December 2021, Mötley Crüe’s entire discography was reportedly sold to BMG for £112 million ($151 million), however, some reports claim the price was “far lower.” In a statement about the deal, the group claimed that working with BMG feels “wonderful” and that their vast track record will help them maintain their position at the top.
At the Beacon Theater in New York City, Vedder and his band, the Earthlings, have started a three-week engagement. The group performed various covers as well as deep Pearl Jam songs like Dirty Frank for the first time in fifteen years.
