Before his highly publicized divorce from his ex-wife, Michelle, Scot Young was a prosperous real estate entrepreneur. The two spent 11 years together as a married couple, from 1995 to 2006.

Young was sentenced to six months in prison after his ex-wife allegedly convinced the judge that the businessman had not provided the proper financial and wealth information. Later in life, Scot Young started dating Noelle Reno, a TV host.

On December 8, 2014, Young committed suicide by leaping from the house of his former London girlfriend. The property developer was reportedly dealing with bipolar disorder at the time, as well as issues with alcohol and drugs. In 2017, BuzzFeed reported that the Russian government was somehow involved in his death.

The upcoming documentary Once Upon a Time in Londongrad will give a more thorough account of Scot Young’s murder and its peculiar connections to the Russian government.
