Ramon started working as a flight attendant for Pan American Airlines after receiving his degree. There he worked from 1973 to 1975. He left the airline sector to pursue a music career, working as a publicist for Starlite Music Artists from 1974 to 1975.
Similarly, he worked as an editor for Hamlett Marsh Publishers from 1975 to 1976 and as a writer/publicist for Motown Records from 1976 to 1977.
