A terrible occurrence that occurred over a month ago claimed the life of Green Bay resident Randi Van Lanen, age 39. She was the only one in the automobile when it went into the Fox River, and she was driving it.

At around 7 o’clock on Saturday, May 6, the event took place right before the well-known Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge. Randi was quickly recognized as the motorist responsible for the tragic event by the Green Bay Police Department.

Authorities quickly searched and retrieved after the event, pulling her corpse and the submerged car from the ocean at 11 p.m.

After conducting an investigation, the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office came to the conclusion that Lanen drowned, which resulted in her premature death.

Her parents, Terry Challe and the late Cindy Tachick, welcomed her into the world on May 23, 1983, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

She was a proud 2002 graduate of the prestigious Ashwaubenon High School class. Randi Van Lanen devoted more than 10 years of her professional life to working as a quality analyst for MultiPlan.

She just discovered happiness while working in the billing division at Aurora BayCare Medical Center and showing off her bartender prowess at Rockabilly’s Saloon.

Randi Van Lanen enjoyed crafts and found satisfaction in creating stunning, one-of-a-kind creations, and her imagination had no limitations. She also continued to live an active lifestyle, working out, barbecuing, and cooking excellent meals in her smoker.

Above all, she valued her friends’ companionship and the times she spent with them.

Death News for Randi Van Lanen

The unfortunate death of Randi has been formally announced by the Green Bay Police. They verified that she was the driver who perished on May 6 when her car slammed into the Fox River.

The incident allegedly took place in the early evening in the 100 block of Main Street, right before the bridge, when Van Lanen’s car veered off the road.

After the collision, her deceased corpse was found inside the submerged car, and both were later pulled from the river.

According to the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office, Van Lanen drowned to death. Further medical testing is being carried out while the crash investigation is still continuing, thus no new information is presently being disclosed.

Then, on Saturday, May 6, at approximately 7 o’clock, her automobile left Main Street and landed in the Fox River. Apparently underwater, according to witnesses, was a black car. A diving team pulled her body from the river four hours later.
