The NYPD officer was a 26-year-old resident of Deer Park, Long Island.

Fayaz had two young children, both of whom he was married to, according to a devastated relative.

Fayaz’s cousin Farrukh described the murdered officer as modest and laid-back.

Farruk expressed his desire to follow in Adeed’s footsteps and become a police officer.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Farrukh stated that “there is definitely a vacant spot now.”

A visitation has been scheduled at Al-Rayaan Muslim Funeral Services by Fayaz’s grieving family.
