Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, have reached an agreement regarding child custody. E! News has obtained court documents indicating that the former couple will continue to share joint legal custody of their children, Sadie and Maceo.
If couples cannot concur on issues such as their children’s immunizations, Williams will have tie-breaking authority over COVID-19 guidelines for one year.
A judge in Los Angeles County Superior Court granted the actor’s request to modify his custody schedule in order to facilitate his Broadway performance in Take Me Out.
According to the judge’s ruling, each month the Brooklyn’s Finest actor will spend four consecutive days with his children in New York, including two weekends.
Although Drake-plea Lee’s request to reduce Jesse’s custody time was denied, the court concurred that if her ex-spouse cancels any parenting time, he cannot ‘uncancel’ it absent a written agreement.
Additionally, the couple should discuss extracurricular activities for their child. Drake-Lee has tie-breaking authority for each child’s curricular activity at a time this year and may use it if Williams’ vacations or time with the children in New York do not interfere.
