Nearly one month after being sighted at the Los Angeles airport with her ex-husband Sean Penn, Robin Wright revealed the reason for their recent trip.
House of Cards actress Robin Wright, 56, sat down with E! News on February 13 and finally revealed why she and her ex-husband Sean Penn, 62, reunited last month.
“We were going to an event for our children,” she told the publication, adding, “We’ll always be a family, whether we’re together or away, and I think it’s great and I wish that for everyone.”
Not only were they wed for 14 years, but they also have two children: Dylan, 31, and Hopper, 29.
Robin went on to describe their friendship as a “gift” because he is the father of her children.
She said,
“To be friends with the father of your children is a gift.”
We recognize that divorce with children is one of the most challenging aspects of life. Two weeks ago, a source close to the pair told PEOPLE that the pair are simply the best of friends.
The source reported on January 25 that they are both single and getting along fine. “Sean has always claimed that Robin is his life partner. He regrets numerous occurrences during their marriage.
He now enjoys spending time with her tremendously.” Robin filed for divorce from her spouse Clement Giraudet in September 2022, and Sean divorced his ex-wife Leila George in October 2021.
As previously said, Sean and the blonde beauty were seen together many times in the past month. First, Robin and her ex-boyfriend raised eyebrows when they were spotted leaving LAX together on January 13, and then they reunited in Los Angeles on January 21.
During their most recent public appearance, the 56-year-old actress wore a black crewneck and blue denim, while Sean wore jeans and a t-shirt.
The mother of two and Sean was married from 1996 until 2010 when they divorced. Robin’s marriage to Sean was not just her second, but also her longest! Prior to that, she was married from 1986 to 1988 to the late actor Dane Witherspoon.
After divorcing pop icon Madonna, 64, in 1989, Sean began a relationship with Robin. Four years after Robin and Sean’s divorce, she discussed the event with The Telegraph. “Divorce is traumatic, especially when children are involved.
