Lingo, a popular game show, is currently available in 17 countries, including France and the United Kingdom. For the fourth time, the series will return to American television screens, with two teams attempting to identify 5-letter words in order to win a large sum of money.

An earlier version of the game stated that competitors would be given the first letter of the word and would have to guess the entire word. If the correct letter is guessed, the board’s lights will turn red, and yellow if the alphabet is in the word but is incorrectly placed. No lights will be turned on if the word does not contain the alphabet.

Competitors must guess the correct word within a certain amount of time, or else the opposing team will receive a point. Lingo is produced by Objective Media Group, Triple Brew Media, and RuCo Inc.

The program is already available digitally in the form of Facebook games and apps. Lingo will make its CBS debut on January 11 at 9 p.m. ET. The new episodes of the show will be available one day after they air on television on the network’s website and on Paramount+.
