Since 2019, Clark has co-hosted the BBC Two program, first with Zoe Ball and then with dancer Janette Manara.

According to the BBC, the 34-year-old will be “greatly missed.”

Rylan Clark stated,

“I’ve loved co-hosting the show with Janette and Zoe, and I can’t thank the incredible team enough for always putting on a fantastic show.”

Strictly Come Dancing’s Claudia Winkleman responded to the news on Instagram by writing,

“We adore you. And we’ll miss you terribly.”

Co-host Tess Daly said,

“We love you so much!”

Professional Strictly Come Dancing dancer Johannes Radebe expressed,

“All my love to you.”

In the meantime, fellow broadcaster Eamonn Holmes joked,

“I bet you’re going to compete!”

“Show your sass!”

Director of BBC Unscripted Kate Phillips thanked the departing presenter “for brilliantly entertaining audiences for the past four years.”

She stated,

“Ryan’s infectious personality, standout sass, and genuine passion for all the glitz and glamour of the ballroom have contributed significantly to It Takes Two’s ongoing success.

“Of course, Ryan will always be a member of the Strictly family, but I know he’ll be greatly missed by all the Strictly It Takes Two viewers, Janette, and everyone who works on the show.”

The team will mourn his “limitless energy and passion for entertaining viewers,” according to executive producer Eve Winstanley.

The new season of Strictly will likely premiere in September. According to the BBC, Clark’s replacement will be disclosed in due time.

Clark rose to prominence on The X Factor in 2012, went on to win Celebrity Big Brother the following year, and was subsequently appointed to host Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.

In addition to hosting revivals of Supermarket Sweep and Ready Steady Cook, he co-hosts the celebrity iteration of Gogglebox with his mother.

Together with Scott Mills, he will commentate on the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest next month.

After that, he will host a documentary series on Channel 4 about sex and relationships.
