Sharon Osbourne Criticizes CBS For Terminating Her From “The Talk” Show

Sharon Osbourne

Television star Sharon Osbourne, a British-American, has not yet fully recovered from her dismissal from CBS’s The Talk program, which she deemed “unfair.” She spoke about leaving the daytime show in March 2021 on Fox & Friends Weekends on Sunday, September 25. After defending Piers Morgan’s disgusting comments about Meghan Markle, the 69-year-old was fired. She remarked:

“I’ve worked in this industry for about 50 years—actually, 55. It seemed unfair, and I didn’t want it to be the end of my career.

On a March 10, 2021, episode of The Talk, Sharon Osbourne, and her co-hosts Sheryl Underwood and Elaine Welteroth got into a furious argument. The two referred to Piers Morgan as a racist for his comments toward Meghan Markle.

Morgan has already come under fire for saying that he didn’t believe anything Markle said in an Oprah Winfrey interview. Markle said in the interview that palace insiders would argue about the skin tone of her unborn child.

When her co-hosts referred to Morgan as a racist for his remarks, Sharon Osbourne stood by him. Underwood and Welteroth even speculated that Osbourne might have been one, given that she was backing him, during the ensuing contentious on-air discussion. Despite Sharon’s social media apologies, CBS swiftly released a statement confirming her exit from the show. It read:

“Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave The Talk.” Everyone engaged, including the viewers at home, was concerned by the events of the program on March 10. Our evaluation led us to the conclusion that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts on the March 10 broadcast was inconsistent with our workplace principles.
