On August 18 KST, SHINees KEY announced the long-awaited tracklist for his second studio album, Gasoline. The eleven-track soundtrack gained attention for its overlapping ‘Lab Note’ concept and scribbles, but it also startled NCT fans.
For VILLAIN, the veteran K-pop diva collaborated with NCT’s Jeno. Fans are understandably excited about the duo’s cooperation, given that SHINee’s KEY is renowned for putting his all into his solo albums.
They were ecstatic to learn that the renowned musician had collaborated with the NCT rapper on his new album. VILLAIN was also seen during KEY’s Beyond Live: GROKS solo performance the prior year.

Gasoline is KEY’s first solo album in over a year, following the equally incendiary BAD LOVE EP. Due to the fact that this is the SHINee member’s second full-length album, the idol shocked fans with a superior Halloween-inspired concept design.
On August 18, SM Entertainment released the track listing for Gasoline. The album contains 11 songs, including Gasoline, Bound, Villain (featuring JENO of NCT), Burn, Guilty Pleasure, G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time), I Can’t Sleep, Ain’t Gonna Dance, Another Life, Delight, and Proud.
KEY from SHINee penned the lyrics for four of the eleven tracks on the album, including the title track, Gasoline. The title tune will be an assured song that compares the idol-entertainer establishing his own path to gasoline’s potency.
The tracklist was scribbled on a notebook among symbols depicting heartbeats, scientific experiments, thunder, the heart, and fire. The photographs matched the previously shared retro atmosphere teaser.
Throughout his BAD LOVE phase, SHINees KEY has regularly expressed his affection for nostalgia for the 1980s and 1990s. His previous solo album was similarly impacted.
This time, Gasoline takes classic science fiction one step further by portraying many characters. He is a hero, a mad scientist, an evil tyrant, and what appears to be an explorer, all clad in retro sci-fi settings, graphics, and acting.
What’s Next for Gasoline?
On August 19, the initially announced Gasoline timetable is uncertain. Fans have long viewed SHINee’s KEY as having a great deal of promise, therefore there is enormous interest in the content.
