Shuler King- Professional Career

His comics career began when he was a freshman in college when he performed for the first time at a military base’s NCO Club, and the rest is history. He earned a mortuary science degree from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 2013.

Shuler works as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Georgia and South Carolina at his family’s funeral home when he isn’t on the road performing at comedy clubs and special events around the country. Shuler may be the only comedian/funeral director on the comedy tour as he fights to keep his family’s company and tradition alive. He’s opened for some of the industry’s most well-known and brilliant comedians and comediennes.

He attributes his success to his parents’ rigorous yet loving upbringing, his hard childhood, and the current status of the country “Comedy isn’t about being joyful all of the time,” he says. People’s pain is just as much a part of comedy as it is of tragedy. When 20,000 people in a stadium laugh at a joke, it’s because they’ve all been through the same ordeal “he declares Shuler is one of the industry’s most energizing up-and-comers.

He attributes his unwavering trust in God as the soothing influence in his life that keeps him going through the ups and downs of the industry. His amusing social media films have swiftly become fan favorites, and his video criticizing Donald Trump went viral and was even included on a British television show. Shuler has a bright future ahead of him.
