Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of rock ‘n’ roll icon Elvis, has passed away at the age of 54, according to her mother.

Priscilla Presley remarked,

“It is with a heavy heart that I must deliver the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has passed away.”

As a singer, Lisa Marie was brought to the hospital on Thursday morning. The US media said that she had a heart arrest.

Priscilla said in a statement,

“Mom was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known.”

We want privacy as we attempt to cope with this tragic loss.

Her mother provided no information regarding the likely cause of death.

According to TMZ, the celebrity was discovered lifeless in her bedroom on Thursday morning. According to the website, her ex-husband Danny Keough, who also resides on the property, arrived and performed CPR.

Soon thereafter, tributes from fans and friends around the world began to come in.

Tom Hanks portrayed her father’s manager Col. Tom Parker in the 2022 biopic Elvis, directed by Baz Luhrmann. Hanks wife Rita Wilson posted on Instagram on behalf of the couple that their hearts were “broken.”

“Tom and I had spent some time with the family during the Elvis movie’s promotional tour,” she wrote. “Lisa Marie was so forthright, vulnerable, and excited about the film.”

It was a celebration of her father because she spoke so passionately about him and what the movie meant to her.

Lisa Marie Presley was last spotted in public on Tuesday night in Hollywood Hills at the Golden Globe Awards.

Austin Butler received the award for best actor in a feature drama for his portrayal of her father in Baz Luhrmann’s film, and she and her mother were seen crying as they watched the ceremony.

During an emotional address, the actor expressed gratitude to the Presley family for their assistance throughout filming.

“Thank you for welcoming me into your hearts, your memories, and your house,” Butler added. “Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I adore you forever.”

She had visited Graceland, the estate owned by her father in Memphis, Tennessee, days before her death to commemorate what would have been his 88th birthday on January 8.

Upon the announcement of Lisa Marie’s passing, mourners placed flowers and lit candles at the entrance to Graceland.

Lisa Marie was born in 1968 and, like her father, pursued a music career. Her 2003 debut studio album sold hundreds of thousands of copies and was generally well-received by critics.

A series of high-profile marriages to musical legend Michael Jackson, actor Nicolas Cage, and artists Keough and Michael Lockwood were also well-known.

She was the mother of four children, including actress Riley Keough. In 2020, Presley’s son Benjamin Keough committed suicide.

In August of last year, Presley penned an editorial for the American magazine People describing “the horrible reality” of how she felt following her son’s death.

“I’ve coped with death, grief, and loss since the age of nine,” she wrote, referring to her age when Elvis Presley died of a heart attack in 1977 at the age of 42. “Throughout my lifetime, I’ve got more than my fair share of it, yet I’ve managed to survive.”

LaToya Jackson, Michael’s sister, paid homage to her on Twitter:

“I will never forget how much you expressed the love you had for my brother with me. Thank you for being so honest #RIP.”

The singer and actress Bette Midler remarked,

“I can’t believe she’s just 54 years old, she’s so gorgeous.”

Shirley Manson, a lead vocalist of Garbage, described Lisa Marie as “unexpectedly charming, strong, kind, talented, and vulnerable.”

She continued,

“I shall treasure you forever in my heart, girl. Thank you for your kindness. May you now find peace.”

Unique in sort

Brian Wilson, the co-founder of the Beach Boys, remarked that it was “difficult to accept when someone so youthful and full of life passes away.”

Pink characterized Presley as “one of a kind” and “smart as a whip, sensitive, and talented,” while Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin referred to Priscilla in a letter.

“I had the opportunity to meet Cilla Presley during my time on Dancing With the Stars, and as a mother, I cannot fathom the pain she must be through following Lisa Marie’s untimely death,” she stated.

Diane Warren, a Grammy-winning composer, expressed her sorrow over the “terrible news.”

“The entire globe is sending love and prayers to Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s children right now,” the singer continued.

John Travolta expressed his “heartfelt condolences” to the Presley family in a letter addressed to Lisa Presley.

“I will miss you, but I believe that we will meet again. My thoughts and prayers are with Riley, Priscilla, Harper, and Finley.
