American stand-up comic, actor and producer Dana Carvey is happily married. Paula Zwagerman, his wife of more than 37 years, is his wife. In addition to being a married couple, Dex and Thomas Carvey are the couple’s two joyful children. He left Hollywood after having children to shield them from the spotlight. He did not want to abandon his kids

Dana had to leave his home for months in the 1990s since he was at the top of his field.
After his children were born, Carvey, on the other hand, did not want to be away from his family. His second son, Dex, was born in 1993, and his first son, Dex, was born in 1991. He thought it odd that he was giving his kids to a nanny. The result was that whenever he was working on a film set, the actor brought the kids along.
On one occasion, the comedian brought his kids to the Trapped in Paradise show. He claimed that he was unable to leave them owing to illness in a Looper interview. While the other child had the illness, the first child developed numerous ear infections.
I would try to occupy one of my boys in the basement after a short period of sleep by hauling this cart around. He found it difficult to bring his kids to the sets. Carvey discussed a humorous incident in an AV Club interview from 2009.
One of his sons reportedly approached him while they were filming Wayne’s World 2 and begged dad not to wear strange hair while sobbing. After those two incidents, he realized how crucial it was for him to give his family his undivided attention. He moved his family to Northern California after leaving Hollywood.
Sons Retrace His Steps
The Wayne’s World stars Dex and Thomas Carvey showed an interest in stand-up comedy despite keeping them out of Hollywood and the spotlight. Carvey moved to Los Angeles and helped his children establish their comedy careers after seeing their aptitude.
He now talks frequently about his boys’ improvement and is proud of them. For instance, voice actor Kevin Smith uploaded a video of his son Dex from his Netflix special presentation on December 2, 2016, in The Secret Life of Pets.
Dana and his two sons were seen on stage at The Ridgefield Playhouse on September 12, 2018, for The “Humans Are Fantastic” tour, a Barts Tree Service Comedy series production.
Dex and Thomas, Dana’s sons, are both comedians and Twitch streams. Their collaborative Twitch channel is called The Carvey Brothers. Dex has also collaborated with broadcasters through Twitch.TV since 2017.
Carvey was married twice
Dana was given the name at birth. American actor and comedian Thomas Carvey has been married twice throughout his life. In 1979, he tied the knot for the first time with Leah Carvey. In 1980, they got divorced.
Three years after divorcing his first wife, Dana married Paula Zwagerman, the woman who is now his wife. Since then, the two have been together nonstop. Paula, Dana’s wife, is frequently pictured attending award ceremonies like the Annual American Comedy Awards and the Academy Awards with her husband.
On February 24, 2019, they were present at the 91st Academy Awards in Hollywood, California. Dana’s decision to quit Hollywood to prioritize his family paid off because his kids wanted to be comedians.
