The Netflix-exclusive series will tell the story of three best friends from high school who remain close well into their 30s: Cha Mi-jo (Son Ye-jin), Jung Chan-young (Jeon Mi-do), and Jang Joo-Hee (Kim Ji-Hyun). The highly anticipated romance drama Thirty-Nine is set to debut when JTBC is now obsessed with the Snowdrop controversy.
Their lives have diverged even though their relationship has stayed steady. Chan-young, who formerly aspired to be a successful actress, is now an acting coach, while Joo-hee works as a cosmetics manager at a department store. Mi-jo is now a Gangnam dermatologist.
The three friends are approaching their forties but have managed to stay together despite a lot of unforeseen issues, whether they pertain to their personal or professional life. In an interview with Osen, Jeon-mi Do claim that this relatability made the drama’s plot easier for her to connect with.
“I read the screenplay in one sitting because it was so much fun.” I had a deep connection to it because it is a story about my age.

I was attracted to the way she expresses her opinions and feelings without reservation.
She added that the three main characters’ close relationships and how they manage to protect their inner children in the face of social pressures would be the focus of Thirty-Nine. Jeon Mi-do wants the audience to be able to relate to and experience the friendship of the trio through the presentation.
I’m hoping you can see the friendship between the three friends and how each of the love stories develops.
The series’ production team has also praised Jeon Mi for her outstanding acting and performance in the program.

Son Ye-jin assures viewers that Thirty-Nine will not let them down
Son Ye-jin previously claimed that she took on the role of Mi-Jo because she could relate to the worries and concerns that ageism instills in women in their late 30s. “I liked the writing because it accurately portrayed life, existence, death, love, and the joys and sorrows of life.”
Like her Thirty-Nine co-star, Ye-jin believes that everyone will start to love the show. The drama has a fantastic screenplay, an excellent cast, and superb performers, so I’m confident it will live up to your expectations.
