According to some sources, he produced more than 150 broadcasts and made more than 100 reports on various events throughout this time period. He was promoted to work as an anchor for the news organization Nash Entertainment in early 1999, then remained on leave until 2001, when he was hired to work as a producer for National Enquirer TV and MSNBC. He also worked as a bureau head and producer for Celebrity Justice, as well as for radio stations SiriusXM FM and FM News 101.9 New York.

His most well-known employment, which helped shape who he is now, was at Howard 100 News. ‘But then I read in the newspaper one day that Howard Stern is moving to satellite and he wants to develop a news section…’ he said in an interview. I was intrigued by the concept, so I emailed a few folks.’ He was ecstatic about the opportunity: ‘Then all of a sudden I got a phone call. ‘Can you come in on a Monday morning?’ This went on for six years. Steve was hired in October 2005 to work for SiriusXM until the launch of “Howard News.”
Langford went on to cover a range of stories and events as the company’s principal news reporter, and apparently the best, from 2005 until 2011. Unfortunately, Steve’s plans did not come to fruition. Soon after returning from a vacation in 2011, he chose to resign from his position, which surprised everyone. All of his fans and coworkers were waiting for him to speak about this event and why he decided to leave, and in an interview, he said: ‘After five years, you could kind of sense that the focus of the program was changing, so it was time to move on.’ He decided to leave after six years to work at another FM station in New York.
