Sting said in a 1990s interview that he and his wife Trudie Styler would engage in tantric sex for seven hours.
In a new interview, Sting, 71, explains why he “doesn’t mind” discussing his sex life with his wife Trudie Styler, 69. The musician, who made waves in 1990 when he stated that he and the beauty would engage in tantric sex for seven hours, discussed his openness.
When asked about his sexual life, he told the Sydney Morning Herald,
“I knew you were going to ask.” This does not bother me at all because it is really nutritious.
“We never discussed sexuality with my parents,” he continued. “I am lucky in a great number of ways, and I do not take my health at this age for granted. I have lost several friends who did not make it to this point. Therefore, I value each day as it comes.
Sting also acknowledged that the COVID pandemic was one of the latest factors that helped his relationship with Trudie.
“Those years off were extremely enjoyable; I was able to spend time with my wife and be in the same spot for more than one night,” he remarked. “This is perhaps the longest we’ve been together in a while… we’re still married.”
Sting’s latest comments regarding his sexual openness and closeness with Trudie came nine years after he addressed his 1990s statements regarding their tantric sex in an interview with James Lipton.
“If seven hours were available, I would demonstrate. Maybe not. However, it does include some truth,” he explained at the time. The conception of tantric sexuality is a spiritual act.
“I cannot think of a more pure or better method to demonstrate love for another person than by partaking in this magnificent sacrament,” he continued. “I would defend it. Not seven hours, but rather the concept of the Movie and food are included in the seven-hour duration.
Sting and Trudie have four children from their 1992 marriage. Mickey is 39, Eliot is 32, Jake is 37, and Giacomo is 27.
The “Fragile” singer bears two children with his ex-wife Frances Tomelty, including Joseph, 46, and Fuchsia, 40. Once, he discussed the hardships his children had faced as a result of his reputation throughout the years.
