Bob Seger disappeared from the public and entertainment spheres in the mid-1990s, lasting a decade.
The then-61-year-old’s post-hiatus album debuted at #4 on the Billboard charts. He was beloved. The singer’s children were a good incentive for him to remain home and sleep late. After having children, he spent less time writing songs, recording albums, and traveling.
Then I had kids and realized it could be a good time to slow down and watch them grow up. During the 10-year interval, he spent almost all of his time in Michigan.

Even his comeback album was intended to give advice to his kids.
His return from vacation was his way of expressing himself to his children. It was his last chance to record everything. Segar’s children placed him back on stage, proving his love to them.
