Tim Allen has played two of America’s most lovable on-screen family men for years, from Home Improvement’s Tim ‘The Tool Man’ Taylor to Last Man Standing’s Mike Baxter.
His chemistry with his on-screen wives, Patricia Richardson from Home Improvement and Nancy Travis from Last Man Standing, was adored by fans.
Because of his fairytale marriage to his wife, Jane Hajduk, it was easy for him to emulate his endearing characters on TV.
The couple has been married for nearly 16 years and still appears to be in love.
Allen, however, had to go through a failed relationship before he could find his happily ever after with his wife.
Before marrying his Hajduk, Tim Allen married his college sweetheart, Laura Deibel, in 1984.
Katherine Allen, the couple’s oldest daughter, was born in 1989.
Their marriage was fraught with difficulties due to Allen’s run-ins with the law.
He was arrested for drug trafficking and DUI, and he was an alcoholic.
Deibel, on the other hand, stood by his side through it all until she couldn’t take it any longer and filed for divorce in 1999.
Who is Tim Allen’s wife?
Allen began dating his actress wife in 2001, following their divorce.
The actress co-starred with the Last Man Standing star in two films: Zoom, a family-friendly superhero film, and The Shaggy Dog, a comedy.
They married in a small ceremony in Grand Lake, Colorado, in 2006.
The couple’s family and Allen’s oldest daughter, who was 17 at the time, were the only guests at the intimate gathering.
Allen spoke to Closer Weekly in 2017 about his second marriage and what made it work.
He repeated that all of his mistakes from his first marriage had helped him prepare for his relationship with Hajduk.
“I’m not the same guy I was the first time [I was married] when I was hiding and doing things that people who drink too much do,” the actor admitted.
He was not present for Deibel due to his bad habits, which caused a schism.
However, he revealed that this was no longer the case, as he was much more present and had been sober for nearly 20 years.

Allen and Hadjuk welcomed another daughter, Elizabeth, in 2009.
According to Closer Weekly, the actor told People about the birth of his second child.
“[Jane] did all the work, but she allowed me to be there and physically assist her on the backside,” he explained.
He also mentioned that her oldest daughter was present with her friends and that he was the first to see his second child.
As a comedian, the actor tries his hardest to make his children laugh, but all he gets are eye rolls and stares.
“The older one will roll her eyes, and the younger one will simply stare at me,” the actor continued.
However, this does not prevent the actor from cracking jokes.
Allen keeps his children out of the spotlight for their privacy, but the family appears to be as close as ever.
The actor and his wife, along with their children, frequently attend red-carpet events together.
