Ashley Erin Scoggins was stabbed, and there are suspicions that Timothy Prescott Parson, her ex-boyfriend, has been taken into custody.
A guy is suspected of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday inside a convenience shop in Kings Mountain, according to the police.
Around 7:45 p.m. on that day, Kings Mountain police were called to the Silver Express convenience store at 501 East King Street.
When the police came, they discovered 34-year-old Ashley Erin Scoggins had been stabbed.

After being transferred to the hospital, Ashley Erin Scoggins passed away, according to the police.
Investigators in the case have named the woman’s ex-boyfriend Timothy Prescott Parson, 37, as a suspect.
She was attacked inside the business, according to the police, before Parson fled in a dark gray Nissan Sentra with the North Carolina license plate JFT-4361.
Parson was apprehended on Thursday during a traffic check at Dixon School Road and Interstate 85, according to the Kings Mountain Police Department.
A passenger named Tracey Marie Harris, 42, was also detained on suspicion of obstructing justice.
Parson and Harris weren’t given access to mugshots immediately away. The Nissan that left the murder scene and was last seen driving by Parson.

He was freed after posting a $50,000 bail and no bond for assaulting a woman.
Harris’ bail was raised from $50,000 to $75,000 in value. The Shelby Star said that Parson sobbed the whole time he was in court.
Scoggins’ grandmother told Ken Lemon of Channel 9 that Scoggins was a mother of two. She said that Parson is the father of her daughter, who is 3 years old.
She said that they had all resided in Gastonia up until Scoggins kidnapped the kids and left in 2021, alleging abuse.
Lemon learned that Scoggins and Parson had been apart for a year and a half, and that Scoggins had just informed a court that Parson had followed her and made death threats against her.

According to Costner, the victim and the attacker were together with the children in a Gastonia residence until Scoggins left him last year. Costner also claimed that Scoggins subsequently told a court that Parson had abused the woman and was following her.

The court also informed the lady, a mother of two, that the suspect had threatened to murder her. According to Costner’s statement to the newspaper, “He said he would sooner see her dead than with anyone else.”
According to a worker who saw the stabbing, Scoggins was accompanied when she entered the establishment. When Scoggins got there, the suspect had already entered and was standing there.
Within five minutes of entering the establishment, Scoggins was fatally stabbed, according to witnesses.
A clerk also told WSOC that Parson casually stabbed the lady in the chest, near to the heart, so that no one else saw it until after it had already happened.
The guy then pretended like nothing had occurred as he departed the establishment.
