Thomas Leon Jackson, 63, of Kennesaw, Georgia, lost his battle with metastatic adenocarcinoma on March 3 at 11:49 p.m. and left this world in quest of Paradise. Thomas Jackson, sometimes known as Tom, was born on December 20, 1959, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Thomas Jackson and Sue Ann Ransdell Jackson.

Before retiring, the Queer Eye candidate worked for Federal Express for many years. Later, he began a new employment as a dump truck driver for Taylor Transport in Cartersville, Georgia, since he wasn’t ready to retire totally because there was more to his life.

Jackson also enjoyed being a Papaw to his two grandkids, who were his strength and pride. His appearance on the Netflix program “Queer Eye” was a high point in his life. He relished his celebrity and shared his life stories with anybody who will listen!

Tom Jackson is survived by his daughter, Katie (R.J.) Phelps, two adored grandchildren, Watson and Chandler Phelps, sisters, Jackie Lynn Childers and Kozetta (Jeff) Stewart, and a slew of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Furthermore, his family thanked the entire Kennestone Hospital nursing staff, Dr. Klass (Oncology), Dr. Kevin Smith (Palliative Care), the Respiratory Care Team, the Trauma Team, and everyone at the hospital who assisted in Tom’s treatment and provided comfort during his final days. The family will have a celebration of life at On the Border in Kennesaw, Georgia, on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
