Vinnie Hacker, a TikTok developer, and influencer is facing backlash after posting a photo of himself posing with a cigarette while claiming to have quit smoking last year.
Vinnie’s Instagram, @vinniehacker, posted the photo in question on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, with the caption:
“Do you really care about the cigarette?”
Previously, the influencer was seen posting content while smoking. However, in November 2022, he announced on Twitter that he would be quitting cigarettes for good. Vinnie is currently on vacation in Paris with a friend and fellow influencer Noah Beck, with whom he has been exchanging photos.

Vincent Cole ‘Vinnie’ Hacker, a social media star in the United States, was born in July 2002. He rose to prominence after posting lip-syncing videos to his TikTok account, @vhackerr. Vinnie went to O’Dea High School in Seattle, Washington, and played baseball there.
He joined the video-sharing site in 2019 and has since gained over 21 million followers. Purgatory, the influencer’s clothing line, will be available in December 2020. The company’s limited-edition merchandise includes hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, and caps. Vinnie is also a part of Hype House, a reality show that follows the lives of various social media influencers and personalities.
Vinnie Hacker announced on his Twitter account, @vinniehacker, that he would be “vape free” in November 2022. Although vapes are non-tobacco e-cigarettes, the Food and Drug Administration classifies them as tobacco products because they contain nicotine (FDA).
