Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings have released their respective injury reports. Game 5 between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings will take place on Wednesday night.
The Kings won the first two games, but the Warriors responded by winning the following two. In theory, Sacramento has the advantage because neither team has lost at home; however, the Warriors have a chance to reverse the script in Game 5.
As the inferior seed, Golden State has no home-court advantage in this series, so Sacramento will host Games 5 and 7.
Golden State must win one of these games in order to win the series, which gives Sacramento the advantage, particularly considering how poorly the Warriors have performed on the road this season.
However, this Warriors core has a history of success on the road in the playoffs and will seek to capitalize on that in this game.
The Warriors will only be without Andre Iguodala and Ryan Rollins for this match, as both teams’ injury reports are relatively clear.
De’Aaron Fox, who is questionable with a finger injury, is the most notable name on the injury report for the Kings.
Fox plans to play through his injury despite his questionable condition. Matthew Dellavedova is the only other player listed on Sacramento’s injury report, and he is out.
As indicated previously, this is a pivotal Game 5 matchup that could decide the series. The Kings do not want to return to Golden State facing elimination, whereas the Warriors want to enter Game 6 with the opportunity to close out the series at home.
