On August 22, 1999, Donnie Wahlberg married his first wife, Kim Fey, to the delight of his fans. Unfortunately, a happily ever after was not in the cards for the couple. In the 1980s and 1990s, Wahlberg was a member of the boy band New Kids on the Block.
They met by chance while working on one of the band’s records, as his first wife was a sound engineer. Fey was 22 years old. The two engaged in conversation and soon started dating. They dated for eight years before their wedding.
They had two children after getting married. Elijah Hendrix Wahlberg was born in August 2001, while Xavier Alexander Wahlberg was born in March 1993. As their connection matured, though, difficulties emerged.

The couple filed for divorce in 2008, and the divorce was finalized in 2010. Their divorce papers indicate that irreconcilable issues led to their separation.
Many speculated, however, that the member of the boy band’s divorce was triggered by his connection with Canadian model Michelle Tomlinson.
In addition to seeking attorney’s fees from Wahlberg, his first wife reportedly requested sole physical and legal custody of their two children, with visiting rights for Wahlberg.
Yet, there is no additional information regarding the outcome of their divorce. But, the couple reached an out-of-court settlement at a courthouse in Ventura County.
According to Wahlberg’s spokesman, the pair remained friends. After the two parted ways, Fey remained out of the spotlight and led a private life away from the prying eyes of the media.
She is allegedly unattached. In contrast, Wahlberg moved on and wed comedian Jenny McCarthy in 2014.

In 2012, Wahlberg and McCarthy met for the first time on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. Andy Cohen, the singer’s host, advised him to approach the comedian, but it wasn’t until a year later, when they met on her show, that he did so.
They eventually began dating, and in August 2014, Us Weekly claimed that the couple had tied the knot in St. Charles, Illinois, near Chicago. It was a tiny event with only 90 attendees.
“I won the lotto,” said Wahlberg to the tabloid. McCarthy was speculated to be pregnant in 2017, despite the couple’s lack of children. However, Wahlberg denied these allegations.
He stated that they desired children, but had three sons already. Evan was born in 2002 to McCarthy and her estranged spouse, John Mallory Asher.
In April 2021, the Scream 3 actress disclosed to Drew Barry on The Drew Barrymore Show that she and Drew had participated in treatment. The actress acknowledged that treatment contributed to the improvement of their relationship.
