In November 2017, Angela Lee suffered in a terrible vehicle accident that prevented her from competing in a title defense battle for the ONE Championship.
The battle between Angela, then 21 years old and 8-0 at the time, and the opponent Mei Yamaguchi (16-10-1), scheduled for “ONE Championship 65: Immortal Pursuit” on November 24 in Singapore, had to be called off.
In a post on Instagram, Angela apologized to her followers and Yamaguchi and said that she slept off while traveling to practice in the early morning.
Fortunately, neither Angela nor anybody else suffered any significant injuries. The material included a caution against driving when fatigued, however.

The tale of her miraculous recovery from the horrifying 2017 automobile incident has revealed. The difficulties she has faced is reflected in the moniker “Unstoppable” she was given.
The MMA champion is always prepared to conquer challenges, even battling pneumonia and severe wounds.
She was originally unable to return to the gym due to the incident’s horrific experience.
“I felt so weak that going back to training was difficult. Without sobbing, I was unable to even go onto the mat, Angela stated.
She said that seeing her brother, Christian, triumph in the circle had helped her get her head back in the right place.
Angela believes that through sharing her experience, others will be motivated to overcome hardships.
What happened to Victoria Lee, the sister of Angela Lee?
The younger sister of ONE World Champions Christian Lee and Angela Lee, Victoria Lee (2004–2022), has passed away.
Angela shared on Instagram on January 7, 2023, that her sister had passed away on December 26, 2022. Her death’s cause has not yet been made public.
Tragically, Victoria, a ONE women’s atom weight MMA competitor, went away at the age of 18.
The ONE Championship crew is shocked by the news and offers her family and friends their deepest sympathies at this trying time.
Chatri Sityodtong, the chairman and CEO, also praised social media. He added, “I am heartbroken by Victoria Lee’s passing,” recalling how she had grown since he first met her when she was 11 years old.
She was described as being “wise, thoughtful, and selfless beyond her years” by Sityodtong, who also commended her “purest heart of gold and a brilliant mind.”
Victoria, may you rest in peace. We shall all miss you, he said, sending his condolences to their families, including Ken (the father), Jewelz (the mother), Angela, Christian, and Adrian (the siblings).
On February 26, 2021, Victoria, one of the sport’s up-and-coming stars, had her successful MMA debut at the age of 16.
In Singapore in 2021, she used various strategies to win all three of her bouts, earning a professional record of 3-0.
In February 2021, she defeated Sunisa Srisan in her professional debut with a rear-naked choke. She then defeated Wang Luping in July 2021 by an armbar submission, and Victoria Souza in September 2021 via TKO in the second round.
Victoria was scheduled to face Zeba Bano on January 14, 2023 at ONE in Bangkok, Thailand after skipping a fight in 2022.
Angela Lee’s Family History In-depth
Her parents, Ken Lee and Jewelz Lee, who are also martial artists, welcomed Angela Lee into the world in Vancouver, Canada.
Her father is Chinese-Singaporean and her mother is a Canadian-born South Korean, therefore she has ancestry from Singapore, China, and Korea. She is a citizen of both Canada and the United States.
When Angela was seven years old, the Lee family relocated there. Angela began practicing at an early age and competed at age six as a result of her parents’ heritage and her intense enthusiasm.
With younger brothers Christian and Adrian, as well as a sister named Victoria, Angela is the oldest kid.
