In November 2021, Roy Cropper departed Coronation Street and traveled to South America.
Since David Neilson’s debut as Roy Cropper on Coronation Street in July 1995, the show’s audience has become quite fond of him.
Roy was first introduced as a minor character, but as time went on, his significance grew, and he eventually started to take center stage in the program.
Roy Cropper left his family in 1995 to escape a rough background and an abusive stepfather, and he then relocated to the Crimea Street apartments.
Before beginning employment at Jim’s Café on Rosamund Street after relocating to Weatherfield, he had previously worked in catering at hotels and eateries.
After a year, Cropper bought the bulk of Alma Baldwin’s stock in the company and changed its name to Roy’s Rolls.
He has been operating the café at its present Victoria Street location since 1999, and he also lives in the apartment above it.
Roy surprised his supporters, nevertheless, when he abruptly departed Weatherfield and hailed a cab in the latter part of 2021. Before departing, he had given his whole estate to his niece Nina Lucas.
Roy left after a hate crime plot in which he stopped Abi Franklin from shooting her son’s killer and assisted in disguising the use of a pistol in a second homicide.
Roy chose to leave the Street in November 2021 and go to South America out of shame, leaving Coronation Street’s fans and inhabitants inconsolable.

In accordance with the most recent episode, Roy Cropper seems to be ill. Roy battled remorse for covering up a crime in an earlier plot.
Eventually, he departed Coronation Street to go to South America, although this departure was also unrelated to a medical condition.
Nevertheless, after a recent episode in which Roy seemed sick, many have begun to worry that he would be killed off.
Roy was uneasy and disoriented during a dancing session with Evelyn Plummer, and he finally had to leave early because he felt sick.
He was hurried and avoided conversation when he picked up his dog Freddie from Tyrone Dobbs (played by Alan Halsall).
Roy was distraught when Evelyn talked to him later, so she thought that he was grieving the loss of his late wife, Hayley Cropper (played by Julie Hesmondhalgh).
