Rafael Edward Cruz, an American politician, and lawyer, has served as Texas’ junior senator in the Senate since 2013. From 2003 through 2008, Cruz, a Republican, served as Texas’ solicitor general.
Cruz graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School before pursuing a career in politics.
He served as a policy adviser in the George W. Bush administration before serving as Texas’ Solicitor General from 2003 to 2008.
Cruz was elected to the United States Senate in 2012, becoming the first Hispanic-American senator from Texas.
Cruz has consistently backed conservative social and economic policies in the Senate; in 2013, he played a significant role in getting Congress and President Barack Obama to defund the Affordable Care Act.
He beat Democratic rival Beto O’Rourke and won reelection in a tight Senate contest in 2018.

Catherine Cruz was born on October 28, 2010. She is currently 12 years old.
Ted posted a picture of himself at the hospital with Caroline, his wife, and the child soon after the baby was delivered.
“Catherine Christiane Cruz entered the world tonight at 11:12,” said the Facebook post.

Heidi Suzanne Cruz, a businesswoman, is American. She has worked at Goldman Sachs as a managing director since 2012.

Her maternal grandfather Olavi Johannes Rouhe was a native of Savonlinna, Finland. Nelson lived with her family for the majority of her youth in Kenya, Nigeria, and Asia.
Both of her parents were dentists who also served as missionaries.
