Gabby was born on December 7, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Desmond Thomas and Jennifer Randall. Desmond Thomas, her father, is Jamaican, and Jennifer Randall, her mother, is African American. Her original parents were married and had two children. Gabby has an identical twin named Andrew.

“The biggest takeaway for me is that sleep is a public health crisis and as a society, we don’t recognize that.”
Similarly, she stated that sleep is as vital to her as exercise, physiotherapy, or proper nutrition. However, Thomas is not mistaken; all elite-level athletes, on average, are good sleepers. Her sleeping habits have also been important to her current performance.
