Mark and Jennifer Remigio, the parents of Nikko Remigio, first crossed paths in Santa Ana, California, in 1988. There, they fell in love and got married.
The belief and unwavering support of Nikko’s parents have been a major factor in his success. Even though his parents are no longer together, they still adore Nikko. Great Filipino-American wide receiver Nikko Remigio went to Mater Dei High School and is from Orange, California.
He committed to the squad in 2017 and decided to continue his collegiate football career in California, even though he had offers from prestigious universities like USC and Wisconsin. Remigio signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft.
But during preseason drills, he had a shoulder injury that ended his rookie season. He was waived/injured on August 29, 2023, and was placed on the injured reserve list. Remigio showed promise throughout the preseason, impressing many with his ability and showing promise despite this setback. Mark and Jennifer Remigio raised Nikko and his two younger brothers in Orange County. Remigio’s parents had a fascinating history together and came from different backgrounds. His mother, Jennifer, is from Pontiac, Michigan, and is half Black and half White. Her ancestry is Filipino. Mark, Nikko’s father, was raised in Southern California after being born in Seattle, Washington.

Growing up, Nikko had issues because she was a blended child. “It seems like you’re too White for the Black kids and too Black for the White kids,” he remarked. You are only half Filipino, hence you are not Filipino. With time, he started to accept his ancestry, becoming more at ease with himself and realizing that his mixed heritage made him special.
Brother Nino Is an Aspiring Football Player
The younger brother of Nikko is Nino Remigio. Like Nikko, Nino played football as a child and is currently a wide receiver for San Diego State. Five foot eleven-inch Nino is a graduate of Mater Dei High School.
