They are from London and used fashion as a way to escape reality as children. They did feel underrepresented, though, because they are a queer person of color. They want to use their attire to challenge the binary. They will be joined in the program by eleven other single people looking for love.

On Written in the Stars, Ashley Tamuno is on a quest to find love
Ashley Tamuno, also known as Ashley Charles Burr, attended the University for the Creative Arts to study fashion design.
They also studied at the University of the Arts in London. While the potential Written in the Stars contestant is still pursuing their dream of being a fashion designer, they have already established a name for themselves in the industry as models and are currently signed by Crumb agency.
They had previously worked as a performer in the LGBT nightlife, planned events, and taken part in live presentations, according to their profile on the agency’s website. Additionally, they have collaborated with businesses like BOSS, More Joy, Sandra Lee MD Skincare, and Estrid.
When they were young, they took solace in fashion, but they were aware of the underrepresentation of LGBT people of color. Watching princess movies and falling in love with their costumes are some of their first memories. Although they had always wanted to try it, they didn’t think they would be good at modeling, therefore they didn’t have any plans to do it.
“When I filled out a form, I distinctly remember thinking it was a joke. When it happened two years ago, I had no idea how much my confidence would develop at that period.
The Written in the Stars participant claimed that the challenges of working in the creative field gave him a sense of satisfaction. Although they occasionally think the limitations are in place to keep the firm “pristine and untouchable,” they want to get around them.
Ashley focuses on womenswear with the intention of challenging the idea of gender and the binary because she is interested in how the concept of power is represented in gendered design. They also announced their intention to build a biosphere where they can cultivate.
They contend that politics and the environment are both reflected in and influenced by fashion. They want to push the boundaries of design while making sure that it can function in the real world.
