Shoji Tabuchi’s wife Dorothy is the mother of his daughter. Suddenly, on August 11, 2023, Tabuchi passed away. Japanese-American fiddler and vocalist Shoji Tabuchi gave performances in his Branson, Missouri theater.

Tabuchi learned Roy Acuff was visiting Osaka, Japan when he was a sophomore in college in the middle of the 1960s. He met Acuff backstage while attending his event. Tabuchi was motivated by Acuff’s songs to investigate bluegrass and country music. The Bluegrass Ramblers, a band Tabuchi created in college, took first place in a national competition in Japan. He made the decision to travel to America with just $500 and his violin.

Shoji John Tabuchi, a child from his first marriage, is one of his offspring. From his second marriage come his stepchildren, Christina Lingo Tabuchi and Thomas Jason Lingo-Tabuchi.

To raise money for the center and the NEED Foundation, Tabuchi, his wife Dorothy, Christina, and a group of musicians, dancers, and singers will host two events. The wife and daughter of Tabuchi reside in Oak Grove. The community center is named after Thomas Jason Lingo, Dorothy’s son and Shoji’s stepson who died in 1996.

He was Christina Lingo Tabuchi’s sibling as well as the son of Mike Lingo. While Dorothy has 28 years of experience as the show’s executive producer, Christina is a co-choreographer, vocalist, and dancer.
