On July 29, 1953, Mary Weinrib and Morris Weinrib welcomed Gary Lee Weinrib into the world in Ontario, Canada.

Together with Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee co-founded the rock group Rush in 1968. In 1974, Rush released their first studio album under their name. A year later, they put out two albums, “Fly by Night” and “Caress of Steel.” The movie “2112” came out in 1976. In September 1977, the album “A Farewell to Kings” was released. Hemispheres then came after that.
Their 1980s albums included “Permanent Waves,” “Moving Pictures,” “Signals,” “Grace Under Pressure,” “Power Windows,” “Hold Your Fire,” and “Presto.” In 1991, Rush issued the album Roll the Bones. The movie “Counterparts” came out in October 1993. They released their album Test for Echo in 1996.
In 2002, Rush issued “Vapor Trails.” Snakes & Arrows, which debuted in 2007, came after this. Their most recent studio album, “Clockwork Angels,” was released in 2012. In addition, they have released 78 singles, 32 music videos, 10 video albums, 11 live albums, six box sets, one EP, and nine compilation albums.
