Who Is The Venus Fly Trap In “The Masked Singer”?

Venus Fly Trap

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET, a brand-new episode of Season 8 of FOX’s The Masked Singer debuted.

Three new celebrities who competed in disguise were introduced to viewers of the reality show. Judges Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Robin Thicke were all given their positions back. Ken Jeong was unable to attend this week due to a positive Covid-19 test.

Joel McHale of LEGO Masters replaced Ken on the judging panel, while renowned performer Leslie Jordan served as a special guest judge.

Sadly, this was his last time on television before passing away unexpectedly in October 2022. The three masked celebrities for this week’s tournament, which had the theme “Hall of Fame Night,” were revealed as being the Venus Fly Trap, the Gopher, and the Bride.

Unfortunately, following their opening act, one celebrity was exposed. After receiving the fewest votes from the studio audience, it was revealed that The Venus Fly Trap was the celebrity in disguise who would be evicted.

Fans were furious when the Venus Fly Trap was shown. In the past, followers correctly assumed that former professional boxer George Foreman was the famous person hiding behind the mask. Read on to discover what users of social media have to say.

As soon as the Venus Fly Trap was announced as the first masked celebrity of the evening to be removed, fans flocked to Twitter to express their dismay. They were shocked to learn he received the fewest votes. Some admirers even claimed to have known George Foreman was wearing the mask all along.

Here are the hints and signals that the Venus Fly Trap gave the judges.

The judges and audience watched a video montage that the Venus Fly Trap played before his performance and had suggestions as to who he might be. He said at the start of his packet of clues,

“It’s not easy to get into the Hall of Fame, but I’ve done it twice. I did it the first time when I was in my 20s, and no one thought I could do it again when I was in my 40s, but I became one of the best in history.

The visual cues in his box included Orion’s belt, the constellation, and various objects like a lawn chair, towels, and floaties. There was also a flamingo, a TV guide, a gold medal, and a horseshoe. The Temptations Get Ready was performed by The Venus Fly Trap during the performance. As his stage hint, the Masked Singer contestant said,

Mike Tyson, Bo Jackson, Charles Barkley, and George Foreman were the predicted winners according to the judges. The only person who ultimately got it right was Robin Thicke.
