William Hair, a 35-year-old Chicago resident, was shot and killed last week, and his name has been all over the news in the aftermath.
Hair was devoted to his family and friends. His shooting death has prompted several of his relatives to speak publicly about him.
“Senseless,” Matthew Hair, his sibling, remarked. It’s the only way to describe it. His father, Bill Hair, also described being with a close friend who attempted CPR to save his son’s life.
William Hair, 35 at the time of his death, was shot and killed. At 2:15 a.m., Chicago police discovered Hair bleeding from the chest on a sidewalk in the 500 block of West Surf Street.
Hair was sent to Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital when he was discovered, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival. William was allegedly murdered only a few blocks from his home.
The police think that the people in the car that came up next to him were attempting a robbery.
Not only was Hair murdered, but three other persons were shot within a few blocks of the scene. Overnight, three persons were hurt in a shooting at Broadway and Barry.

Though police have found no link between the two, residents in the Lakeview area are understandably alarmed. In this case, William was walking a friend home from a local tavern when he was shot.
A car drew up next to him, and the people inside are suspected of trying to rob him. However, further information about the shooting will be released shortly.
