English singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne recently stated in an interview that coping with health issues has been a nightmare. However, he did add that he still felt young at heart and wouldn’t be retiring any time soon.
The former Black Sabbath frontman collapsed in the restroom and underwent surgery recently. As a result of this incident, he was also given the diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease. Ozzy Osbourne has trouble speaking and walks with a cane.
The artist is currently working on his 13th solo studio album, Patient Number 9, and he wants to become better enough to start touring again.
The musician, whose stage name is the Prince of Darkness, described his battle with Parkinson’s illness as a nightmare. He declared:
“Something breaking down and no longer working is the only thing that makes me feel older.” I still feel young at heart, though.
Ozzy Osbourne continued by claiming that he has no immediate plans to retire, adding:
“Even if it takes being nailed to a board and rolled on, I am determined to return on stage.” My survival is my legacy.
Ozzy Osbourne confirmed he has Parkinson’s disease last month. In an interview, the singer stated to The Observer:
“I had a lower-than-expected plateau. Nothing was very pleasant. Nothing. I therefore began taking antidepressants, and they are effective.
The artist confirmed he has Parkinson’s illness in January 2020. Yet, he later acknowledged that he had concealed it for almost 15 years.
Following a tumble during a late trip to the bathroom, the artist underwent surgery in 2019 that “completely screwed me up,” according to People. The fall reportedly made his neck and back problems from an ATV accident 16 years ago worse. Ozzy Osbourne has undergone two more operations since then.
The musician added that after his 2019 surgery, two metal squares had been implanted in his neck. To remove the debris that had accumulated beneath the metal plates as they became looser over time, the artist needed to do two additional treatments.
When Ozzy Osborne performed live for the first time in nearly three years at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in Birmingham last month, he astounded the crowd.
Along with guitarist Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath, the performer gave a memorable rendition of the song “Paranoid.” Tommy Clufetos, the drummer from Osbourne’s opening act, and Adam Wakeman, the bassist from Black Sabbath’s most recent tour, were both present.
The most recent album from Ozzy Osbourne, Patient Number 9, was made available on September 9. Iommi, Zakk Wylde, Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, and Taylor Hawkins, the late drummer for the Foo Fighters, are among the guests.
